Lucifer - te goed om te winnen
"Te goed voor het songfestival" was het alom gehoorde kommentaar van journalisten en vakmensen toen Margriet Eshuys met Lucifer net niet de nationale finale van het Europese songfestival won.
"Someone is waiting" dat door Margriet zelf werd geschreven was inderdaad te goed om het songfestival te winnen ook al vond eigenlijk iedereen haar song de beste.
Margriet wilde (en wil nog steeds) het onderste uit de muzikale kan; het beste is nog niet goed genoeg. Vandaar dat de uitstekende groep Lucifer ook weer regelmatig afbrandde om de doodeenvoudige reden dat men steeds streefde naar nóg grotere perfectie.
Het album dat u nu in handen heeft is dan ook in vele opzichten een muziek-album: Het is een bewijs van hoe goed Margriet en Lucifer toen al waren: een momentopname uit een karrière van een zangeres die geboren werd om te winnen!
